Verdun Adventure Bound (VAB) is constantly investigating and updating avenues to perform community outreach to the youth of Rappahannock, Culpeper and Fauquier Counties. Through our programs including mental health outreach, we invite students from ages 8 to 16 to enjoy our Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall Camp programs.
VAB is pleased to announce a limited number of spring and summer camp scholarships will be offered to the youth of Fauquier, Rappahannock and Culpeper County. Any student age 8 to 16 years of age are eligible and encouraged to apply.
The awarding of the student’s scholarship is based on the family’s economic need. VAB references the Rapidan Rappahannock Community Service Board Sliding Scale to determine the degree of need.
Please follow these four steps.
1. Applicants must submit a signed and completed camp application form.
2. The camper’s school teacher and/or school counselor must provide a letter of recommendation.
3. The parent/s must submit a letter of recommendation on behalf of the camper.
4. A statement of financial need of the family’s 2015 federal tax return.
Upon the completion of the following four requirements, please mail the scholarship request to Honore Hastings, Executive Director, Verdun Adventure Bound, 17044 Adventure Bound Trail, Rixeyville, VA. 22737.
PLEASE NOTE – THE DEADLINE FOR SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS SUBMISSION IS FRIDAY, MAY 27, 2016.
