PLEASE NOTE
All participants will be provided breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner for 4 days and 4 nights. Verdun will also provide tents for those who need them. Please be sure to send your Climber with a packed lunch on the first day and any extra snacks for the week. A detailed pack list will be emailed to you at the time of registration. Please note, water shoes are REQUIRED.
Participants are welcome to bring their own camp gear, i.e., tents or hammocks. Some limited gear may be provided on a first come, first serve basis. Please email admin@verdunadventurebound.org before camp to let us know what gear (if any) you will need to borrow to ensure availability.

CAMPING OFF-CAMPUS
Monday:
Orientation and indoor training at State Climb, followed by a group drive to Verdun on Verdun’s private bus. We’ll spend the evening making s’mores around the campfire and sleeping under the stars.
Tuesday:
We’ll head to Elizabeth’s Furnace in Front Royal for a full day of introductory outdoor climbing. This area offers a wide range of routes, from beginner-friendly climbs to more challenging features, there’s something for everyone. That evening, we’ll camp in the Front Royal area before an early departure to Fayetteville, WV to set our sights on The New River Gorge!
Wednesday:
After a four-hour drive, we’ll spend the day exploring some of the most popular climbing areas in and around the New River Gorge before settling into a campsite near town.
Thursday:
A full day of climbing and swimming at Summersville Lake! One of the most stunning areas near Fayetteville, the lake features a scenic walking path with water on one side and stunning rock faces on the other. With hundreds of climbing routes available, everyone will enjoy plenty of opportunities to explore their own climbing comfort zone.
Friday:
We’ll enjoy a relaxed morning (hopefully everyone isn’t too sore!), prioritize a warm and hearty meal, and then head back to State Climb. Our planned arrival time is around 4:00 PM.
