The Great Race
The Verdun team will set up a custom great race for your team at Airlie. The Great Race program can be collaborative or competitive meaning we can divide your group into smaller teams to compete against each other or your team(s) can compete against the clock. Teams will race across the Airlie campus overcoming challenges and solving puzzles to gain points OR prizes along the way. Each stop will include a team building challenge that can only be solved with the use of effective teamwork, leadership, and communication OR a team puzzle/riddle to be solved. We can customize these challenges to fit the desired outcomes for your group. The Great Race is best suited for a combination of indoor and outdoor activities, however it can be done exclusively outdoors or exclusively indoors depending on available space for the date of the event. The Great Race is a fast paced and exciting way to introduce your team to several collaboration principles in a short period of time.

Mission Impossible
You’ll have to get creative and use your imagination for this multilevel collaborative challenge. The scenario is a post-apocalyptic world, your team will have to travel back in time and attempt to save the world! Your team will retrace the steps of heroes who came before them. For each challenge they overcome they will receive resources the previous heroes left behind. If your team makes it to the final challenge in time they will need to use the resources they have collected along the way to create an innovative solution and save the world! This option includes a series of team building challenges that can be customized to provide the desired outcomes for your team. Mission Impossible is best suited for being outside, however many of the challenges can be done indoors and the program can be modified to be completed in an indoor space.

War Games
Want some competition included with your teambuilding event? Then this is the option for you! Your group will be divided into teams of 5-15. These teams will receive a map, a compass and a little instruction on how to use them. The teams will also receive the means to attack other teams and to defend themselves (water guns or laser tag). Teams will race to complete team building challenges spread out across the Airlie campus. They will have to use their map and compass to navigate between the challenges. Some challenges are mandatory to complete, others will provide opportunities to score points on the other teams, and bonus challenges may provide them advantages for the final showdown. Teams will have to demonstrate leadership and tactical planning to succeed. Each one of the challenges they face along the way will provide experiential learning opportunities in collaboration, communication, problem solving etc. and can be customized to your targeted outcomes for the event. Once the time limit is reached all teams will have to meet for the “final showdown.” This final showdown is an epic battle (water guns OR laser tag) where each team has an opportunity to gain more points, an opportunity where their bonus items may help them. Once completed the Verdun facilitators will tally up the points and declare a victor! This activity must be done outdoors.

Sharp Shooter Challenge
This challenge brings teambuilding and archery together for a unique and thrilling experience. The Sharpshooter challenge can be structured competitively or collaboratively amongst your team. Participants may be divided into smaller teams that will race over multiple rounds to complete team building challenges and then fire arrows at targets earning points (and prizes if desired). The quicker your team completes the challenge the more points you can score. The challenges increase in difficulty with each round as do the points available. Our trained facilitators will provide instruction (no archery experience required), safety, and equipment. Race against the clock and set records as one team or divide into smaller teams and compete for points and pride with the Sharpshooter Challenge. This challenge must be done outside at the Archery Range in order to include archery, however we can move the activity indoors substituting darts for archery.

Team Building Escape Room
Your team will race against the clock to escape from one of our themed escape rooms. Locked inside, the team will need to work together to search for clues, solve riddles, and complete puzzles to locate keys and discover combinations. Our twist is that along the way they will discover team building challenges that will require the entire group to work together. The number and nature of these team building challenges can be customized based on your desired outcomes for the group. If you are looking to encourage collaboration, creative thinking, and perseverance this is the option for you. Escape Rooms must be done indoors.

The LEGO Challenge
This challenge is for those teams that really want to rediscover their childhood! Our team of facilitators will present your team with a bin of legos. Your team will work together in groups of 5-10 people to build structures that must complete a certain task. This is structured as a collaborative activity where no team is successful until all teams are successful. However, we can make it competitive if desired. The groups will need to think creatively and design objects with no instructions or pictures to build off of. They will be racing against the clock so they will need to find ways to work efficiently and yet still collaboratively. This is a fun and playful way to do some serious team building. The lego challenge must be done indoors.
